Floors
Like ceilings, floors offer another, often forgotten surface. When treated as a design element for a room, a floor can make a big impact. Whether it depicts faux marquetry, a faux marble inlay, or a simple border, a painted floor in an entry, dining room, or breakfast nook can be a great way to enhance the architectural elements of a space. Iris also paints floor cloths, traditional floor coverings made of heavyweight canvas. These can be created in all sizes, and often are covered in a design, either geometric or floral. They can also portray a fantasy image, such as a checkerboard floor, a marble inlay, or a lily pond.
